Guardian Angel is a tech for good business looking to rattle the bones of the death space by using technology and real-life experience to make sure death is not any tougher than it needs to be. We're a well funded UK startup looking to grow our development team so we can deliver better features faster.
We're looking for back-end developers with strong opinions on code and architecture, a drive to improve the messy bits, and an understanding of the tradeoffs between doing things fast and doing them right. Having real world project experience with tasks like creating merge requests and closing tickets is key.
Guardian Angel was founded in 2017 after Sam, our founder's Mum died suddenly in a road accident.
Dealing with grief is tough enough without all of the other stuff that comes with it - from planning a funeral, to all of the legal and financial paperwork that comes with it.
Now our mission is to use technology and our personal experience to make planning for and through death more accessible, affordable and efficient.

You don't need to know everything, and we're willing to put in the time to help you level up your skills if you're i.e. coming from Symfony and want to learn Laravel.
We're a fast growing team, but it's still early days so you'll have lots of say in the direction of the products and the tech.
